The moment we have been waiting for has now arrived. We will be having our AGM on the Saturday, 16th January 2010 where the new committee members will be appointed and the current board to step down.

If any of you are interested in any position listed below, please prepare a short speach during that day. You'll be elected based on the number of votes. Unfortunately, you'll need to be available to run the society until the end of December 2010 if you wish to be a part of the team.

Here are the 9 positions available and a short description of them:

PRESIDENT - Head of the society which makes all final decisions. Keep the society alive and resolves any conflict in the society.

VICE PRESIDENT - Assists the President in decision making or any problems that arise in the society.

SECRETARY - Prepare formal letters or email and update any events or meetings.

TREASURER - In charge of the society's account and funds. (No accounting background required)

EVENTS COORDINATOR - Decides and run any event held in the society with the help of other committee members.

SPORTS REP (2 positions) - In charge of any activity related to sports ranging from within society, societies in the university or societies around the UK.

WEBMASTER - Keep an update on the society's official website and Facebook group. Mass email all members regarding any event or important updates. (No programming background required)

WELFARE TUTOR - Takes responsibility for member's welfare ranging from financial, work, or accommodation.

Please do not hesitate in volunteering for the positions. Remember, you can update you CV with the position you will be holding.

The meeting will begin at 12.00 pm until 5.00 pm or earlier and there will be snacks available at the end of the meeting. We shall confirm the venue with you guys as soon as possible.
